New drivers start on the quiet country roads off Paradise Lake Road and Yew Way, where low speeds and gentle curves let the fundamentals settle and teach reading a road without much signage to lean on. From there it is onto SR-522, the through route, with its higher speed, turn lanes, and steady commuter traffic.
The connections toward Woodinville, Bothell, and Monroe add busier arterials and merging. Before the test we drill parallel parking, backing around a corner, and hill parking, then run a full test-style route.
