Drivers Ed at Lynnwood High School
WMST teaches teen drivers education for Lynnwood Royals at the North Road campus in Bothell, with drives that work the Canyon Park, SR-527, and Maltby corridors right around the school.
Yes, Lynnwood High is in Bothell. We teach right where it sits.
The name throws people off. Lynnwood High School sits on North Road in Bothell, up near Canyon Park and the North Creek valley, not in the city of Lynnwood. WMST teaches the classroom on that campus and runs drives from there, so the lessons match the streets your teen actually knows.
This stretch of Bothell gives a new driver a strong mix early: the steady North Road and Maltby traffic, the SR-527 business corridor, and quick access to I-405 when it is time. Your teen keeps one certified instructor the entire way through.
WMST is a DOL-approved examiner, so training and the skills test run through the same school. The program is one package, from $549, with classroom, six drives, and observation included.
North Road, 527, and the routes near the school.
First drives stay on the calmer residential streets off North Road and around the Maltby side, where a new driver can sort out steering, stopping distance, and lane position without much pressure. From there we step into the Bothell-Everett Highway, which has the lights, turn lanes, and steady traffic that build real judgment.
Canyon Park and the 527 business district are good for the in-traffic stuff: lane changes with cars already in them, left turns across oncoming traffic, and busy driveway entrances. The hills and curves toward North Creek add camber and descent control to the mix.
Later drives bring in I-405 on-ramps and the higher-speed merging that makes some teens nervous, plus the parallel and back-in parking the DOL examiner scores. We keep at each one until it is routine.

No. Eligible teens from around Bothell, Mill Creek, and the North Creek area can take it, including students doing the classroom hours online. You must be 15 by the first day of class.
What will they learn to drive on?
North Road, the Bothell-Everett Highway, Canyon Park, and eventually I-405 ramps, so your teen practices residential, arterial, and freeway driving before the skills test.
