Drivers Ed in Edmonds
WMST teaches teen and adult drivers in Edmonds, with the partner classroom at Edmonds-Woodway and behind-the-wheel drives through the Westgate, Five Corners, Highway 99, and waterfront roads that make Edmonds a great place to learn.
A small city that asks a driver to do a lot.
Edmonds is compact but varied, and that is what makes it such a strong place to learn. In a single drive your teen can go from quiet residential streets to the Five Corners roundabout, onto Highway 99, and down the steep grades toward the ferry. A driver who handles Edmonds is ready for most of what Snohomish County throws at them.
WMST teaches the classroom at Edmonds-Woodway and keeps one certified instructor with your teen through every drive. The classroom can also be done online and paired with in-person drives around town.
Because WMST is a DOL-approved examiner, the same school that trains your teen gives the skills test. It is one package, from $549, with classroom, six drives, and observation.
Five Corners, the hills, and Highway 99.
Early drives stay on the calm streets up by 212th and 76th, where a new driver can get the basics smooth. The Five Corners and Westgate junctions come next, and the roundabout there is one of the better teaching tools around for yielding and reading other drivers.
The hills toward downtown and the waterfront are where Edmonds earns its reputation. Hill starts, controlled descents, and tight intersections near the ferry all stack into the same lesson, and they are exactly the skills that crack under test nerves if you have not drilled them.
Highway 99 and Edmonds Way handle the higher-speed work: lane changes, left turns across traffic, and timed signals. By the final drives your teen has rehearsed the parking the examiner scores and a full test-style route.
