Drivers Ed in Shoreline
WMST teaches teen and adult drivers from Shoreline, with online or in-person classroom options, behind-the-wheel drives on Aurora Avenue and the I-5 corridor, and DOL testing a short drive north of the county line.
Right on the county line, close to everything we do.
Shoreline sits at the top of King County, sharing a border with Edmonds, which puts WMST closer than the map suggests. Families here take the classroom online or pair it with drives that start near home, on the Aurora Avenue corridor and the streets around the new light rail stations.
Aurora is one of the busier arterials in the region, and learning to read it well is a real advantage. A teen who handles Aurora is rarely thrown by traffic anywhere else. Your teen keeps the same certified instructor the whole way through.
WMST is a DOL-approved examiner, and our testing office is a short drive north into Everett. The program is one package, from $549, with classroom, six drives, and observation.
Aurora, the light rail streets, and I-5.
We start new drivers on the quieter residential streets east and west of Aurora, where there is room to get steering and stopping smooth. The 185th and 145th corridors near the light rail stations have grown busier and more pedestrian-heavy, which is good practice for scanning and yielding.
Aurora Avenue itself is the main teacher: multiple lanes, constant turn pockets, timed signals, and steady traffic, all of which force a new driver to plan several seconds ahead. The I-5 ramps give clean freeway merging practice when your teen is ready.
Before testing we drill parallel parking, back-in stalls, and backing around a corner, then run a full test-style route. The skills test is a short drive north at our Everett office.
Shoreline families take the classroom online and pair it with local drives, then test at our Everett Express office a short drive north. Call 425.252.9913 to arrange it.
One package, start to license.
Every option below is the full DOL-approved program: 30 hours of classroom, 6 behind-the-wheel drives, and an hour of observation. The difference is how much testing and warm-up you want bundled in. See the full Teen Drivers Education breakdown.
